Rage In Harlem – 1991

This movie was directed by Bill Duke and stars Forest Whitaker. The story is about a woman’s gangster boyfriend who had a run-in with the police.

She ends up fleeing with her boyfriend’s stolen gold and finds herself in New York. Her boyfriend’s gang comes after her as she hides from them.

Along the way, she falls in love with an undertaker named Jackson who gets involved with her business to save his new love. 

Little Man Tate – 1991

The story is about a boy named Fred Tate who is a seven-year-old genius.

Fred’s mother thinks that he might have a better time fitting in with other children who are as smart as he is and allows him to go to a summer camp for gifted children.

When Fred enters a competition he must now decide whether he wants a normal life or to advance his education further. 

My Days Of Mercy – 2017

This movie was directed by Tali Shalom Ezer and starred Kate Maea, Elliot Page, Amy Seimetz, and several other high-profile actors.

The plot is quite simple. When the daughter of a man on death row falls in love with a woman who is on the opposing side of her political family’s cause. 

Milk Money – 1994

This film was directed by Richard Benjamin and starred Ed Harris.

Milk Money is about three adolescent boys who pool their resources to pay for a prostitute named V so that she can strip for them.

After this event occurs, she takes them home only to have her car break down. 

But, this turns out to be a good thing as a notorious mobster named Waltzer is after her and the suburban area her car broke down turns out to be the perfect place to lie low for a while.

As time goes on things get more complicated and she falls in love with a man named Tom who does not how that she is a prostitute. 

Airborne – 1993

This movie was directed by Rob Bowman and starred  Jack Black, Seth Green, Chris Conrad, and several other high-profile actors.

The story centers around a boy whose family is about to depart on a trip to Australia for several months so that they can work on a zoology project.

Mitchell is sent to live with his aunt and uncle in Cincinnati where he struggles to adjust to the cold climate.

He is picked on at his new school as well. He befriends Nikki, who helps Mitchell become popular by using his rollerblading and hockey skills. 

The Public – 2019

This movie was directed by Emilio Estevez and starred Jacob Vargas, Alec Baldwin, Taylor Schiling, and several other famous actors.

The story centers around a civil act of disobedience that escalates into a fight between the police and the homeless people of Cincinnati who just want to get out of the cold and take shelter in a public library.

But at the final stretch of his pledge to this fraternity, things start to get violent and humiliating.

The boys in this brotherhood have a brutal way of testing their relationships and now Brad has to do it too if he wants to stay in his fraternity. 

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile – 2019

This movie was directed by a man named Joe Berlinger and starred high-profile actors like Zac Efron, Jeffrey Donovan, Lilly Collins, and several others.

The story centers around a single mother named Liz who falls in love with a man named Ted Bundy.

She is blinded by love and does not believe that he committed heinous crimes against women despite the many accusations that were thrust upon him. 

The Rain Man – 1988

This movie was directed by Barry Levinson and starred actors such as Tom Cruise, Bonnie Hunt, Jake Hoffman, Dustin Hoffman, and several other high-profile actors.

The story centers around a car dealer named Charlie Babbitt who finds out that his estranged father has passed away.

He returns to his home in Cincinnati where he finds out that he has an older brother that is autistic.

He also finds out that his father left his fortune at the mental health institution where his brother lives.

The brothers end up taking a trip across America and this changes both of their lives. 

Dark Waters – 2019

The story is about a tenacious attorney who discovers a dark secret that connects several unexplained deaths.

The Mighty – 1998

This film was directed by Peter Chelsom and starred several high-profile actors such as Sharon Stone, Kieran Culkin, Elden Henson, and several others.

The story is about a boy named Kevin who suffers from Morquio’s syndrome which stunts his growth and weakens his heart.

He makes friends with his neighbor who is taller than all his classmates and suffers from dyslexia.

The two boys become friends and have a face-off against local bullies and soon become inseparable.
